| The duty cycle (%) is the amount of time (per unit time) the boost controller opens the valve (effectively opening your wastegate) For instance, if you set your boost at 15 psi, duty cycle 100%, it will open the valve at 15 psi and remain open 100% of the time. If you set it to the same 15 psi but have a duty cycle of 0%, your valve will open 0% of the time and your boost will spike. Using the same logic, if you set it to 50% duty cycle, when you hit your set point the valve will receive pulses to actuate your wastegate. If you set the value too low you will have boost spikes, too high and you may have irregular boost. Another way to think about it is as a response dampener (lower numbers being more damped), or as a gain setting (like on HKS controllers) Anyone else care to let me know if I'm wrong?
